Boeing 737 Max Jet Remains Grounded After Deadly Crash

Investigation Examines Cause of Crash

Hundreds Dead in Ongoing Investigation

A Boeing 737 Max jet remains grounded as investigators examine the cause of a deadly crash in Ethiopia on Sunday. The crash, which killed hundreds of people, is the second deadly crash involving a Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft in the past five years.

Following the first crash in 2018, Boeing spent years working to fix the 737 Max's flight control system, which was implicated in the crash. However, the second crash has raised new questions about the safety of the aircraft.

A House investigative report into the two crashes blamed Boeing for the deaths of 346 people. The report found that Boeing had failed to adequately address safety concerns about the 737 Max and that the Federal Aviation Administration had failed to properly oversee Boeing.
